Think I’m exaggerating? It’s true. Over 7 million books have been scanned so far, and Google’s stored them in a massive digital database called ‘Google Book Search‘.
But why are they doing it? And even more importantly, how will this get traffic to your web site? Today’s 4 minute TV program reveals all.
Consider this: 3 years ago, war broke out as the enraged Authors Guild and the Association of American Publishers claimed that Google was violating their copyrights. But Google were doing no such thing. Furthermore they have recently settled a class action lawsuit. Instead I believe that Google has revealed a hidden Traffic Formula:
“KNOW THEY NICHE AND PROSPER.” Here’s the deal:
The simple truth is that Google is NOT stealing copyright material, but firstly is providing a valuable service of making many out-of-print and out of copywright books available again for search, and in PDF form. This of course makes Google an even more useful search engine company and so are more likely to keep growing their huge audience.
BUT FAR MORE IMPORTANTLY, here’s the REAL deal, the hidden ‘niche marketing oil gusher’ that I believe Google is creating behind the scenes:In my opinion, it’s highly likely that Google are also COMPARING the content of all the books in each niche to record the common language, jargon and KEYWORDS used within that niche.
Now if we take that to its logical conclusion, it means that when they analyse web pages on the internet, they will know if the page is written by an expert in that field, because only an expert would know the full language. If a ‘fake expert’ PRETENDS to know the field and tries to pose as an expert their lack of knowledge will immediately show and they will FAIL, because Google will ignore that page.
Make no mistake, this enables Google to deliver very high quality search results to people looking for information using Google Search. The bottom line is that relevant, expert language and keywords on your web pages will attract FAR more traffic than any attempt to guess at the right keywords.
In sum, if your online material is saturated with niche jargon that only an expert would know, then your pages have a FAR higher chance of being found by Google and placed on the front page of the search results.

Finally have my horse site in new template; now need graphics done by ?? for header and I’ll be on my way. Your niche nuggets are especially tasty for me this morning!
Susie. Horse site sounds exciting indeed. So glad it is progressing. You must have a ton of energy girl. I see that @Mayhemstudios is involved with graphics. If you trawl though his followers they all seem to be designers. So maybe spy on their work / rates etc?
Or ask Calvin himself.
Jonathan
you learn something every day at the traffic cafe.
Reiss.
Londinium Espresso caffeine is GREAT!
It’ll be in the vids starting next week
Jonathan
And the next great thing about their knowledge of each subject area is that they leave clues in the form of “Searches related to:” at the bottom of the google search results and the “Additional keywords to consider” when using google’s keyword tool at https://adwords.google.com/select/KeywordToolExternal
They’re giving THAT away.
Even if they’re not giving awy the books.

P.S. Jonathan, have you see my Cute little cartoon Search Engine Optimization videos I’ve been putting together on YouTube? You helped push me in the direction of using video! Thank you SO much! I gave all the characters Aussie accents. http://www.youtube.com/user/DaivRawks
Thanks Daiv
I’m sure the Aussies would love th accents in your characters.
But I live in New Zealand. LOL He he this is like telling a Canadian
you love his American accent.

Hey Jonathan,
Now this video holds not just a nugget of gold, man, this is the entire mine !!!!

A pure gold traffic tip Jonathan, thank you.

Well. that’s my opinion anyway. Maybe we can rustle something up between us even better to benefit.
Got your info re Keywords
Thanks
Jonathan
Regarding your final paragraph “in sum”: yes and no. If I’m an average joe searching for information… say, on shingles (Herpes Zoster), the last thing I want is a jargon filled result written by an expert. I want English.
However, I can agree that mining for related terms and such could be useful. Just not returning the most buzzworded web page as the top results.
Mantari
I agree entirely – you are making the exact same point I’m make in the TV program. (You’ve misintepreted ‘jargon’ Perhaps my use of that word is misleading.)
By jargon I don’ t mean trash or obscure hard to understand esoterica, I mean USEFUL clear simple information written by someone who clearly knows what they are talking about, and whose motivation is to provide useful information.
True experts don’t write buzzy trash. They don’t try to ‘display’ knowledge to look grand, overloaded with useless detail and buzzwords.
Google discards those.
The experts I am referring to are the ones who are readable and provide what is being searched for. They write in concise phrases that can easily be understood by ‘average joe’.
It is the ‘fake’ experts who fill their pages with non useful buzzy jargon / junk / trash and it shows.
Your comment welcome. I really need to make myself clearer. I’m learning all the time.
Jonathan
Great Traffic Tactic today. Information of value and again so simple to apply.
I am also enjoying the comment from people. There is a little nugget here and there to pick up as well.
Hi Deborah
Yes, the comments from others are just about as valuable as the TV program.
Right you are.
Jonathan
Thank you for the coffee break, love hearing your fantastic simple easy to understand short but useful talks. That makes so much sense because I know when I am speaking if I am passionate about the topic and know what I am talking about then others around me will pick up on that and really listen.
So if I am writing about my niche market and know it back to front and inside out then I will have a audiance and the right key words to find the public.
Thanks
To the next break – have a great day
Lisa
@Jonathan – I didn’t say that I gave them Aussie accents because I love YOURs so much… I just thought you’d get a kick out of the accents of the little characters.
Maybe I’ll Kiwize the next one, so you feel special.

Heh. Close enough Daiv.
Welcome back.

Welcome back.

Sounds like a end from Farenheit 451 where they try and destroy all books to control knowledge source?! With rise of Amazon kindle’s and eBook readers, you don’t think this has anything to do with a potential commercial step for a library of content where you can check excerpts but go through to purchase books? To make all books available free online makes no commercial sense for anybody…
Good point Dean. Actually Google has already started to sell the info.
But there’s a battle looming though with of the copyright holders
