Twitter TV Special: How to get yourself RETWEETED all over Twitter – in minutes

4 MINUTE TWITTER TV SPECIAL:  I DISCOVERED TODAY THAT JUST 5 LITTLE WORDS CAN GET YOU ‘RETWEETED’ ALL OVER TWITTER.

Even better, I’ve just tested this on Twitter to see if these words actually work.  I’ve posted the conclusive results in this TV program.

Now you may be wondering to which words I am referring. Well I reveal those in the program along with screen shots of my Twitter account showing the results.

Why did I do this? The truth is that I read about these ‘retweetable’ words with some scepticism on a number of blogs, notably the Mashable blog. All came up with roughly the same words – more or less.  Bottom line: I ran a test on Twitter of these words in a Tweet to see what would happen. The results were conclusive.

Here’s the deal: Try this out yourself and let me know what happens, or tell me about anything else you like or hate about Twitter. Leave me a comment. I’ll respond for sure.

Enjoy!

Jonathan,

The simplest of ideas is what is considered … Genius!

The word “Please” should not be a surprise for successful re-tweets. But who’d of thought.

Great info and excellent presentation and look in your video.

Keep up the excellent work.

I am looking forward to your video tomorrow.

hey Jonathan, awesome video! I’m gonna test a derivative technique of YOUR technique :) I’m going to — with your permission of course — put my twitter link in this comment and see if people follow me (as they SHOULD, of course ;) ). Then I’ll RT your video and see how many I get.

About tomorrows 10K followers video, could you address a question I’ve been bothered by: in your opinion, is it better to build a LARGE list with untargeted followers, or is it better to focus on niched follower list building and growing your following slower?

Thanks for all the awesome videos!

Hi ‘Understand your niche’.

I’ve already made tomorrow’s ep, but yes it is far better to build a targeted E-MAILING list.

By contrast, Twitter is a completely different psychology where the type of people (targeted) who ‘follow’ you is not entirely within your control . So people with big lists often have large numbers of completely untargeted followers.

Re RT’s: Putting your Twitter link in here without any reason for people to click it will not produce any results. Why would they click it? (Unlike on Twitter where you give people a reason to do so.)

Your link here will only be seen by the small% who actually read other’s comments. As I said, I don’t think any will click it because you are not giving them them any motivation to do so. People don’t click on links for no reason.

The RT technique is designed for Twitter, not for blog comments so you’d be best to stick to RT on Twitter.
