Reply for Tony

Hi Tony. There's a lot of trust involved in Ad swaps, and one can't really expect to demand of a partner that a segment be 'buyers only'. Why would they comply?

Instead, the best way is to gain their trust, and work on that basis. This usually pays off if you are honest, genuine and clearly mean to hold up your side of the bargain.

Re. Putting one's offer on the partner's page: This is also difficult simply because you are intruding right into their territory and brand! However you can ASK them to do this - and if it is a blog and your offer is only put into a single blog post, then they may feel happy to do this as it will not dominate their site .

Re Conversion rate: The '22 secrets' opt-in page converts between 50% and 70%. I'll be e-mailing you (and everyone) about how this was achieved.

But an even more interesting number is about an e-mail I sent last week: The opening rate was over 50%. This is unheard of - mostly the average is around 15%. I'm hoping this is the result of caring about the people on my list and answering their questions. Most of them are genuinely nice people looking for answers, and so I attempt to reply to their questions straight up.

People appreciate this, and I have discovered over a long period that this is how a business is built. So I plan to continue helping folks as much as possible.

Keep watching this space Tony. It's going to get interesting

Jonathan

PS. By the way Tony ... You won the 30 minute consulting session with me - for asking the trickiest questions :) I'll be in touch.

Hi Jonathan,

Thank you for your ideas.

Great technique to use to grow your list and provide value to
the JV partner and their list at the same time.

I know marketers have segmented lists, so do you make sure
that the JV uses their entire list to offer your gifts or products?

As opposed to just a segment [or non buyers list] of an entire list.
Heard about that sort of thing on a webinar.

It's a good idea to have your offer on the JV's download page
because the buyer is in a buying mode at that point and will be
more receptive to your offer. And they are proven buyers.

Unless you are offering something for free to get opt-ins.

Bye the way how did you get to be able to interview those
22 great marketers? Do you have a seperate squeeze page with
this on it i think conversions would be giant on that as well?

Take care.

Hi bud. Wow! That's almost a blog post in its own right. We could get VERY confused by all the specialists telling us that their way is essential for success in 2010.

Quoting you: ".... Those who are spend more time focused on key tasks and rise above the noise, are the ones who will move ahead this year...."

Excellent. You nailed it.

Tell me how you get on with your Ad swaps Phil. (Leave a comment here again.)
It's a superb tactic for growing a list. Most people don't know about it.
