My outrage at a French waiter nearly made me miss the second great law of attracting huge web traffic

An extraordinary event that actually happened. (In Montpellier, France – just 4 months ago.)  It has EVERYTHING to do with promoting your web site and becoming a major success online.

I was dumbfounded. Did the waiter actually dare to say “I’ve brought you something
else sir, this is better…!”

He’d changed our choice of wine! No “Bye your leave sir.”  He just CHANGED IT.  You might
ask what this has to do with web site promotion?  In a minute I shall tell you the secret.

Could this be true? After all, the waiter had graciously given our 83 year old ‘Grand-père’
the very best seat in the house.

But instead of LISTENING I prepared to get on my high horse. Then Grand-père WADED in.
“Non, non!” He barked, with a flicker of a grin. “I believe our waiter friend has something
special for us.”

It was TRUE INDEED:  The waiter had brought us the best quality wine from his own
family vineyard
. Private bin, the best in France, it cost less and was above the love
of Angels. He was also charming, entertaining, and the food was to die for.

The entire CONTENT of that Café was far beyond expectations.

Know this: What I have learned is that the French know the value of giving the best
quality possible – it’s way of life.  Make no mistake, I shall always go back to that Café in Montpellier just off the Place de la Comédie.  The content was sublime.  In essense, I hope that in a simple way my web site content will make you come back to this online Café too.

Do you see what I am doing? This is what you must do too.

Lavish high quality content on your website and in your articles – wherever you appear
and your prospective customers will read it, follow links and come back to your site,
fall in love with you, your product, your service, and your brand …  for that is where
an ocean of money lies hidden.

Now pay attention to today’s traffic TV program.  Treat yourself to the immense force wave
that is called QUALITY.  What I have to say about it will ensure that your advertising, branding
and promotion online will bring you fame , and very soon after, fortune.

Kudos Jonathan!

It kills me how much time people spend on some aspects of their business as a whole, but then take such visible shortcuts on their content or product, especially on the front end (i.e. their web site or core message).

My web audio marketing players and services are designed from the ground up to help polish and solidify one’s web image and make a strong first impression, just as you’re doing so masterfully with your videos and the slick-looking blog site – very classy!

Anyway, thanks for the great quality tips on quality (sorry, couldn’t resist) and I will be tuning in regularly from now on. Thanks also for the Twitter shout out in the video and see you on the 140. ;)

Cheers,

-Mark

Great story Jonathon. People are always too quick to take offense without sizing up what the opportunity might be. Even if the wine had turned out to be awful, and service terrible, there would still be a lesson to learn. We close ourselves off to learning by the choices we often make.

Cheers,
Nez
