Twitter TV Special: A year of your life gone … in 40 seconds. - Episode 59

One year in 40 seconds from Eirik Solheim on Vimeo.

I stumbled across this extraordinarily beautiful video of an entire year time lapsed to 40 seconds.

Have you noticed (DARE to admit it) that yet another an entire year has rushed by without much achieved?

The reason, almost 100% of the time, is that you have charged into action in a mad hash of activity, a glorious blaze of activity, without a workable plan.

Sadly for you, the world will continue to revolve, the sun rise and the seasons change long after you are gone. So whatever it is you want to achieve in life or business, there is no time to waste with unfocused dreaming or foolish scrambles after the latest online product launch … repeatedly.

What on earth can you do?  Here is the solution:

The pathway to the beautiful life, La Dolce Vita: Make a PLAN.

The key is to choose a pathway that will work. Do not choose a pathway you HOPE will work. That is the sin of all new entrepreneurs. You hope it will work and believe in yet another amazing glowing wonderful sales letter. You are the endless sucker. This is self delusion – you WANT it to work and so you believe it.

YOU are your own saviour.  NO-ONE ELSE.  Sorry, but only you can make it happen.

The second reason is that most people are looking for someone to follow instead of making decisions. They are looking for a ‘leader’.

But in truth it is UP TO YOU.  You are your own saviour.  No-one else can do this, no-one. Buying the latest money making ’system’ will not do it for you either.

Bottom line is that making a living online requires focused work on a decided plan. A plan that has been fully analysed that WILL work.  Combine this with ‘leading’, meaning taking responsibility for your pathway.

Here’s how to make your plan and take action.

1. Plan the business and how it will be constructed, marketed & promoted.
2. Do the technical build of all your systems, sites and support services.
3. Roll out your marketing & promotional program.

If you do this, you will discover an amazing occurance: The results will begin to appear, slowly at first then with increasing pace.

Your frustrations will evaporate, and with a feeling of security and growing confidence, you will begin – maybe the first time since childhood – to take time out to stand and stare at the beauty of the world.

A year full of beauty will take a full year to pass and not seem to flash by …. in 40 seconds.

    Hi Johnathan,

This is great because it gets the thinking right and the right thinking is important.

Imformation overload is a ‘real’ problem, it’s similar to indescision, there is no forward practical action.

Once a descision has been made , it frees the mind to be able to move forward. Along with the right plans.

Bye the way Johnathan if you’re ever in London [vacinity] sometime please let me know.

    Regards

    Tony

    Hi Johnathan

this post of yours should be all over the net, because its exactly why so many people fail to make any real money. I know how I floundered around for a couple of years and only started to gather momentum when I began planning. So I couldn’t agree more with you.

    Christine. Yes that’s it. Great!

“Time goes by.” The same point is made by the movie ‘Casablanca’.
And also the movie ‘Dead Poets’ society” – Carpe Diem. (Seize the Day.)
    See http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ppqb0t_B0KY

We must make our plans, chose something that is real. Do it.
We pass this way but once. Let’s make it count.

    Andy.

Put this business planning post all over the internet? I wish. So many could be rescued from the clutches of the … er … ‘marketers’.

One person I know has just spent in ONE MONTH over $20K … yes twenty big ones and all for nothing because it was done in a blaze of unfocused mad rushing around. She went into a ‘flat spin’, bought everything in sight directly against my advice, and now has nothing to show for it.

Now she has come back to ask if I could teach her how to make money online … gratis, for nothing LOL!

A solid steady build is the answer for most regular people .

Its great to see that a year go by in just 40 seconds. Makes you realise that wasting time and going off track is not an option for achieving success.
Keeping to our business plan will be our focus from now on. Thanks for showing us Jonanthan how quickly a year can and will go pass. Make the most of every day.

Cheers, Here’s to staying focused and on track.

Funny. I just tweeted this yesterday: Your attitude is the one thing in your life you have full control over. You can change it in an instant. This instant. Now.

I keep telling people that there’s just one key to marketing via the Internet: Creating relationships. That takes time. That takes a plan.

Thanks, Jonathan, for bringing the video and your insight to my attention.

Time, a plan, and a rewrite when you realize you weren’t following your passion and you should have been. Thank you Jonathan.
